Keller ISD "Strike Out Cancer" Tournament February 23 – 25: I hope your offseason is going well.  I know a lot of you are tied up in other sports,  but we wanted to make you aware of a tournament Keller ISD is going to be holding this year.  We would like to invite you to our "Strike Out Cancer" Tournament.  This is going to be a charity tournament for all of us to give back and help fight cancer.  I know that cancer affects a lot of us including my wife this past year with ovarian cancer.  We are putting together a tournament that is all about fighting cancer.  We plan to have 24 teams with pool play and double elimination format.  Your team will be guaranteed 3 pool games and at least 2 bracket games, with every field playing for a trophy.  We will play pool play on Thursday and Friday until noon, and bracket play starting Friday and finishing on Saturday.  We will label our fields with different colored ribbons representing different types of cancer.  We will place teams from the results of bracket play on 1st -4th fields.  The colors of ribbons in alpha order will represent 1st place fields through 4th place.  Each field will be playing for a 1st and 2nd place trophy.  The price of the tournament will be $225.00 per team. ANNOUNCEMENTS: THANK YOU! I want to thank all of you for the kind words on the passing of my aunt over the weekend. I told my mother how many notes I received from coaches praying for my family and she said to thank all of you. She took it pretty hard as it was her last living brother/sister and that was a shock to her. The STRIKES!
